A beautiful town located on one of the 5 most beautiful lakes in the world! (According to National Geopgraphic, whose reputation is dismal at best. Teehee.)

This waterfall is in Twin Falls.
If you guys are into this idea, Coeur d'Alene offers a variety of water activities on the lake. They even offer parasailing! Though, I'm kind of gettinga kick out of the aqua cycles!!! LOL! I actually wouldn't mind trying that! Check out what they offer! http://www.cdaparasail.net./interest.htm
Length of stay:____
Distance info: Coeur d'Alene to SLC: 689 miles/10 hours 40 minutes
uhhhmmm.... better look at the budget.. there maybe one city we have to forego. boooo!!! :(
ReplyDeleteThis kind of trip is hard to do because of how far north we'll be going. It's more interesting to do a loop than retrace our "steps". Unless you're talking about just driving straight through it?
ReplyDeleteI'm playing around with driving routes on google maps, and if we want to cut costs, skipping Coeur d'Alene would probably be the best way to do that. (Though, it'd be nice if it didn't come down to that! The resort there is an amazing location, and the city itself is beautiful!)
ReplyDeleteBasically, cutting out this city changes the route and would cut out at least 6 hours or more of driving. This new route would take us through Boise and on to SLC. (Darn mountains get in the way.) The distance from Seattle to SLC would be 840 miles, about 13 hours. From there, it'd be about 6-1/2 hours to Vegas. Thankfully, we'd still be able to go by Snoqualmie Falls!!
eeekkkk!!! So much driving! Seattle to SLC is such a long trek. LOL! We better make sure that rental car gets a proper oil change. lol!
ReplyDeleteI would still like to visit this place. I guess it'll all depend on the costs of accommodations. hmmmm. *ponders*
