WORLDMARK RESORTS

http://www.worldmarktheclub.com/resorts

The resorts that are circled are the places we'll be staying at. Each of you take a look at the resorts and see what interests you about things to do there. Okey Dokey?

ETA: We need to work out accommodations in Oregon, Idaho, and Arizona. We can stay at the resorts that I have in those states. HOWEVER, will it be close to where we want to go?
Arizona: I say we find a place at the North Rim.

  5. It looks like Idaho might be an easy one, since there's a place right in Coeur d'Alene. I think it's located right on the lake and is right across the lake from the city, just a couple miles or so away from the main part of town. = )

Oregon: I don't know yet about this one. It's hard considering we don't yet know how much sightseeing we'll be doing before we check in for the night. Though, if we have to drive later at night I'm okay with that too! *30 minute research break.....* If we decided to stay at one of the resorts, one of the southernmost ones seems to be best. I checked, and the driving distance from Windsor to Depoe Bay is 11 hours(w/o stops). Depending on where we stop, is that too far? If so, then maybe a resort wouldn't work? (Just throwing out options!) Then again, if we DID stay at a Depoe Bay, for instance, then we could just save our sightseeing for that area for the next day.

I'm talking too much here. Point it, we have options!!

  6. Looks like Eugene, Oregon would be the easiest place to stay. It about the halfway mark between SF & Seattle. it's about $70-$100 per night for 2 queen beds. I need to check out the distance between Windsor and Eugene.

  7. I just checked, and the distance is 520 miles. Since we'd be traveling on the coastal highway for much of it, it'd take about 10 hours. Though, it's only about 275 miles away from Seattle, and would take a little over 4 hours to get to Seattle from there. Maybe we could look for a place even further south? Perhaps on the coast?

  8. Ok. I'll check with my friend. He used to live there so I"ll ask him what good place to stop on the way there. hopefully, he'll know. :)

  9. Sounds like a plan! Sorry for being difficult, lol. It's just that I think there would be more to see from Windsor on, and not AS much after Eugene. I just don't necessarily want to feel too rushed and not get the chance to enjoy the beautiful coastline!
