July Schedule

The first couple of days is going to be tricky. It all depends on when you both arrive. Do you want to arrive at the end of June? Or arrive AFTER July 4th? Since we don't know what exact day you'll both be arriving, our schedule will remain tentative. :P

Day 1: Pick you both up; eat dinner in Downtown Fullerton; chat the night away. weee!
Day 2: San Diego/ Whaley House/ Downtown San Diego/ etc.
Day 3: L.A.; sightseeing which will pretty much be driving around the city. Eat somewhere in L.A.
Day 4-6 Solvang and Santa Barbara
Day 7-10 Wine Country & San Francisco. I think we should definitely stay 4 nights here.
Day 11: Oregon - quick sleep over to get to Seattle
Day 12 - 14 Seattle; we may be ok 2 days here unless we decide to go to Vancouver, Canada
Day 15: Idaho; How long do we want to stay here?
Day 16: Utah
Day 17-19: Las Vegas
Day 20 - 22: Grand Canyon

Ok this is tentative only. Feel free to edit whatever you want on this schedule. :)

Kiki's thoughts:
The schedule looks good so far! Just a few questions......: Where will we be staying on Day 3? (It doesn't really matter I guess, but I'm just nosy and want to know! =p) Also, when we see a city for a certain day, I'm assuming that means we'll be staying overnight in that city on that day?

  4. *cries for an hour then gets over it* Wow. This is really happening, isn't it!?!

It looks like we basically know the cities we want to visit. Of course, there might be some changes here or there, but it seems pretty set at this moment! We should discuss how many days we want to spend in each city!! Of course, what makes that difficult is that with some cities, we'll arrive in the afternoon or so with time to sightsee. With others, we'll arrive late at night and only get to see anything the next morning. So, why don't we all check and first make sure that we have all the cities we want to stay at overnight! Then, we can go from there and determine how much time we want to spend in each city!!!

    WHAT SAY YOU GUYS!?!?! =D

  5. What happened to day 11!?!? =o *grabs magnifying glass and puts on detective hat*

Thanks for putting up a tentative schedule!! It keeps my brain from going into overdrive by thinking too hard. =p

    Comments:
-Right now, I'm leaning toward arriving BEFORE the 4th. I THINK that'll make it easier for Eka to have time with her friend, though, I can't be sure.
-I don't think we'll need to spend TOO much time in Idaho. If we're able to go there, I think that we'll just need to make sure we leave Seattle early enough to spend most of the afternoon and night there. Then, we'd only need 1 night. I just don't think there's that much to do there to justify 2 nights. Just my 2 cents! =)
-Utah also seems like a relatively short stop. (Though, I still kind of want to go to that ghost town!! I checked the map, and it's on the way to the North Rim.)

    So far, so good!!

  7. Alright, I think what we should be figuring out right now is when we're going to Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

Are we going to have Vegas be at the end of the trip, so Eka can just go from there to hang with her Utah friend? (That is, if she plans on spending time with her at the end of our trip.) Or, are we going to so it as we have on the schedule, and go to the Grand Canyon last?

  8. uhmmm..I love the idea of going to the Grand Canyon, but I don´t know how we´ll do that

  9. Eka, we can do it! If we go there right after Utah, and then travel to Vegas right afterward, it'll be easy! = )
