Worldmark Resort Updates - PLAN 'B'

Ok ladies! This will be the section for the updates on the Worldmark Resort availability.

Important Notes:
~ I am required to book for 7 days at any WM resort if I'm trying to reserve 90+ days BEFORE the actual trip. (For example, if I were to book now for Worldmark Windsor, I'd have to book from 7/5 to 7/12.) So I won't be able to book before April 1, 2010.
~ There's one-time housekeeping fee & occupancy tax fee.
~ If I don't have enough points, then I can buy points. They are at $0.08 per point.
~ I can choose to BUY the points the entire time of the stay at $0.08 per point.
~ If I cancel any of the resorts, I have to wait 48 hours before I can re-book.

~ I get my new set of points on June 1, 2010.
~ I also have the option of calling EVERYDAY to see if there are spots available (if the resorts are fully booked).
~ There will be a kitchen so we can save money by cooking ourselves.

____________________________________________
Windsor & SF 7/5 to 7/11
~ I'm going to book this one NOW (7/5 to 7/12)
~ I'll just have to pay for 100 points.
~ Fees will be: $67 housekeeping + $68 occupancy tax + $8.00 bonus pts =
$143.00

Lake Tahoo 7/11 to 7/13
They are FULLY booked! But I'm on a waiting list, in case someone cancels. Looks like we'll be an hotel for this one.

Las Vegas 7/13 to 7/16
~ I've noticed that Las Vegas isn't hard to get into. So I'm not too worried about this. As soon as June 1, 2010 rolls around though. I'm going to book.
~ We have the following options- (a) I can also buy points on April 15, 2010 if we're desperate;
(b) Get a hotel on the LV strip; or (c) Wait til June 2010 to book (when I get my new set of points)
~ Need your opinions on this one.

Need your opinions/comments girlies. :)

An Interactive Trip Planner!

I absolutely love this blog, and think that it is definitely helping us to organize our trip! I just figured that creating an interactive trip planner would make things even more efficient! This planner makes it easier for us to research places we'd like to go, by including links to most of the places we plan on visiting, and so much more.

It's obviously not completed yet! There are surely many more places to add, and possibly others to remove. I made it public, but I'm not sure if you guys are able to edit in anything you want to add. Why don't you try to do so, and let me know. Otherwise, I can just edit it in myself. =)

Take a look!!

UPDATE:::
Maddi and I were going over expenses, and the original West Coast trip we planned amounted to about $1,100. That did NOT include food/leisure expenses OR flight costs. (Eka, that would mean you'd be spending about $2,000 for this trip. :O )

SO, Maddi and I decided to come up with an alternate road trip that would keep costs down. Basically, we took out Seattle and Coeur d'alene, and replaced it with either Lake Tahoe or Yosemite National Park. This trip means a LOT less driving overall, and less expensive as well. : )

Eka, if we DO decide to go on the alternative trip (Plan B), we'd like you to look up both Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, and tell us which place you'd much rather travel to.
